Just like almost all the bloggers our content creators out there, i have a top movies list of course :) In this post, i have elected my top movies which have somehow impressed me and it became a list of 40. I am not listing these movies as good movies since art can be perceived differently and my art criticism is not reliable :D Even though the list is long, i want to write 1-2 things about why the movie impressed me. I can recommend you to watch all of these but as i said, they have just impressed me. You may find them bad or boring. Some of them have imdb scores at around 4 i guess :D The order of the movies is just alphabetical so there is no particular order. Don't worry the post is spoiler free. I have included an imdb link to all movies so that you can check them out.
This movie impressed me a lot because of the search for justice. I always thought that humankind can almost never establish justice. And the movie is exactly stating that fact.
This movie presents what it means to educate or teach perfectly. It has musicals and friendship in a joyful manner in one movie.
I watched this movie when i was around 13 years old. I have seen how much can a person be obsessed about a subject and what it can cause. I thought is it necessary to drop somethings in life in order to be an expert in a subject in life. At least that was my interpretation.
If you face with a civilization which you have no idea about their technology and language, what would you have done. If we consider you won't declare war on them mindlessly without understanding them, how can you communicate and understand each other? Why would you communicate? You can find the ideal answers to all of these questions in this movie. That is what impressed me.
Awaara is an old and very dramatic movie. It shows how one person's lifeline changes at a certain point even before he is born. It was very impressive that movie shows almost every aspect of a derailed life of a person in one movie.
I picked this movie because it had a very interesting plot. In the movie, people start being blind one by one because of some sort of a pandemic. It changes the people's behaviour drastically. The movie may not be so impressive but the plot was, in my opinion.
This whole movie is about the mechanism, the body of lies, which fuels the war in all over the world. When it comes to wars, mad people agree on spilling blood.
It is about a normal girl grown up in a deaf and muted family and pursuing her dreams. Even though she loves her family, her dreams may be outside of her families' priorities.
Not many people would like this movie i guess, but it is in one of my top movies. In the movie, time stops in a hospital and a group of people tries to escape the horror and monster filled hospital. In this movie, the father of a young girl tries to make everything right, even though the situation they are in is absurd. That i liked a lot.
I guess i don't have to explain this. It is probably in almost everyone's top list :)
Just like A Beautiful Mind, this is a very different movie. The whole script has impressed me in this movie. Seeing a group of smart mathematicians trying to escape a room was cool, and the enlightment at the end was also cool.
Final destination series is a nightmare for people a little bit tended to being anxious, like me, but i like it :D Whenever i cross a bridge or drive behind a truck carrying logs or walk near some construction, i remember these movies.
It shows how 3 smart and good friends overcome a problem with a foolproof plan. I really like the friendship in this movie. It was "one for all, all for one" logic.
This is a must watch if you haven't. I would summarize this movie like this: Goodness is tiresome.
There is a thin line between a human being a human or not. This movie shows it in an unexpected way. How different are we from the ones we call zombie or how similar are we.
This movie reflects the Israel - Palestine relationship and the mostly one way of atrocity. You will see the situation where everyone with a little bit humanity, stop.
This is an animation movie. It tells inside the brain of a young girl with changing emotions very beautifully. It is very realistic and emotional.
I might have watched it like 7-8 times and enjoyed each one i guess :) Science and love together, what else do you want.
There is not much spoiler to give about this movie but it could be the best friendship movie ever.
It shows us how the wars work behind the scenes and it is all ugly, with an arms dealer. It has a narrator too, it makes it look like a documentary.
This is Charlie Chaplin 's most hope filled movie. It is a story of a simple guy holding on to a simple life and finding happiness. Also in the difficulties of modern times.
This movie shows how valuable and expensive to pursue the rights. It is so expensive, that you might not be able to find credit from anyone and be left alone by yourself.
You may not be affected by this movie but i found it very touching. It was like a punch in the gut for me.
An impressive movie from start to finish. The plot is nice and Dustin Hoffman 's performance is good. Dustin plays an autistic person and Tom Cruise is the brother who is trying to connect with him.
Another one about wars and it should be in our minds. We usually know a small portion of the war's reality. But the rest of it is probably awful and disgusting.
It was mostly the ending of this movie that got me. It has a good score on imdb.
This is a very cute movie. It is the end of the world and people are trying to find other people to spend the rest of the days with, or they find you. If you wonder how would it look like, watch this.
Another cute movie. It may not get you but the plot is two people who touch each other from thousands of miles and years away, trying to reconnect. Most of the events are serendipitious.
The punchline of this movie was super impressive. It is easy to trick 1 million people than tricking 1 person.
This is a very interesting movie when it comes to science-fictions. Its plot is a couple of people trying to fight and correct a mistake of a past which has the butterfly effect.
This is a cute movie of friendship, sacrifice and love. Believe me you will feel the colors even though it is black and white. The self-sacrifice in this movie impressed me a lot.
We f.ed up the world kind of movie. To avoid spoilers, the world is consuming itself and someone from outside comes in. The plot was impressive.
The movie is successful but it was mostly the shock at the end that impressed me. The punchline is this: What can you give a guy who has everything. It sound philosophical but it is mostly just a good script and a good ending.
Lorax is another animation movie. The plotline of this movie impresses me. Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. We have to stop being greedy and consuming infinitely.
Another movie that got me at the ending. It may look mainstream to you. I found it original. There is a popular movie like this but i won't give spoilers here :)
This is a unique movie and probably most of you have it in your lists. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince the world he didn't exist.
This is a very different horror movie. A couple of friends get together on a Skype call and horrible things start happening. We are watching everything in one of the character's laptop screen. All the movie plays on a computer screen. It was weirdly cool.
With these 3 Turkish movies, the list ends up at 40.
This was a dramatic movie. A body is found in a construction site and strange events start unfolding.
I can't say much about this movie, other than this is a horror movie that you will be surprised at the end. Title translates to "The Little Apocalypse".
A veteran cop involving in a bad group of mafia and unfortunate events start happening. It was a very sad movie.
This way, 3 domestic and 37 international movies became 40 movies. I would recommend each one of them but can't guarantee you will like them. In the end, it is my personal list. Maybe this urges you to make your own list of movies. See you at the next post :)
